ugh, and I chose this year to buy a brand new sled.

    #17359

I bought my 4-TEC before the Super El Nino Winter of 2015-16.

Only put on 280 miles on and it still smelled like “new sled” in my garage the following summer.

Guess it added another season to the life of the sled – and I might get another season tacked on at this rate.

Almost safe to say I won’t be buying a new sled before next winter.

I rode about 20 miles in the Salisbury area yesterday. The sled & I took a beating with the skis clacking on rocks almost everywhere. But, it qualified as a first ride of the year! Will have to check my carbides on my ‘16 Renegade 1200 now…

Great to see the forum up and running again ! Was through Tug Hill yesterday on the way to Miller’s meat in Lowville. A ton of sleds riding there, didn’t look all that bad. In Morehouse the section of trail that was closed at HM14 last year due to logging is open again thanks to the landowner. We also have a new bridge over the 4 mile leading to the Mosquito hill trail. Now all we need is SNOW. Happy New Year to all

I put on 160 miles on the south warren system before the Christmas eve massacre. Putting fuel stabilizer in it today and will give it good wash tomorrow then back in the trailer, covered and on the tender. Will hope for the best.

Glad to see the forum back up. Too bad the title of this thread is true – a real sad sack of shit so far this year.

    Hey 500ss,

Wasn’t sure I wanted to re-boot the forum.

But now I’m glad I did. Good to see some old faces here.

Not everyone digs the Facebook thang. lol!

I certainly appreciate having the forum back since I am not on facebook or anything similar. I hope we see some good activity here when we get the lakes frozen solid and some decent snow for riding. I almost said IF we get lakes frozen and snow, but trying to stay positive…
