Looks like the town got the new Tucker T2000 out on the Powley Rd. Talked to several-said it was great. C8A at the end of the Powley Rd was a little boney, had a couple of wet spots but passable until you got below Stratford, then you get onto unplowed roads. As for the rest of the town trails at the west end of Piseco. Not touched at all this year. Riders are using them but not good at all. S88 and C4 thru Sheriff Lake are bad. Rocks and mud holes. They need a lot of snow on these trails and dont have it yet. The lake effect is very light and wont pack at all. Its to bad the town cant get in here with some equipment to fix these trails. Most of it is on private land. I had the DEC give permission to build a couple of by passes on state land and they worked out great. I was also called a trouble maker for causing work for the town groomers. TO BAD. I have to ride these trails and I am a tax payer in this town and now pay $55 bucks per sled to ride them.
The trail C8 from the Oxbow over the mountain to Spy Lake is rough. Lots of sleds and not much lake effect snow that will not pack yet. Pleasant Riders are trying and are doing the best they can. Hats off to all these guys.

Town of Arietta and the trail boss is Craig S. Call the town board to ask why this trail is never worked during the off months as most of it is on private land and the land owner wants safe trails. Town board # 518 548 3415 and Craig S. ( highway super. ) 518 548 7302. Now that our registrations cost us $65.00 per sled if you join a club and we have to ride a trail like this. The trail maintenance entity ( TME ) are all going to get a big raise this year. Two years ago Arietta got $42,000 to maintain trails that included doing a little work on them. Just look at Morehouse. They are always working on their trails during the off season.
