Well folks we are going into our 26th year of begging the DEC to fix or just make this trail safe for snowmobiling. I regret to have to say this but I just do not think the DEC has the best interest for smowmobiling safety. At least not in the Region 6 areas. They will have all kind of excuses as to why this trail is the way it is. I also have to pick on the Ohio Club here just a little. They are not putting the pressure on DEC as much as they should be concerning safety on this trail. They put their emphasis on the trail from Nobolsboro to North Lake where Where the trail goes no where. with no gas or even a store when you get there. I’ll bet that there might be 10 sleds a year using this trail, Compared to the C4 from Ohio to Salisbury. I talk to a lot of riders at both ends of this trail but it seems like I’m the only trouble maker to the DEC and Ohio about this trail I just talked to the senior Forester ( Keith Rivers) for about the 10th time since we used to have the NYSSA Snowmobile Conference in Long Lake. and guess what. The DEC did not do a damn thing on this trail this past year at all. They did not even get in there to look at it. They promised to get in here to see what has to be done and they did send a forester out of Herkimer to look at it 2 years ago. He said he did not know how any snomobilier could safely use this trail let alone a groomer pulling a drag.
So I would say that it you try using it You’d better have water wings on and with the rain due to climate change that we have been getting its go to be a watery mess.
I hope some of the boys from Ohio see this post as they are the poor souls getting the high snow corridor funding that they can pocket cause they aint getting in here unless some thing drastic happens with the weather.
I always said–by the time I see this trail groomed like the Morehouse Trails I will be to old to use it. I’m 82 now and aint got much more time left. “Hopefully I’m wrong”

Found out from Jen at NYSSA that all work plans are on hold until the are blessed by Protect the Adirondacks. The DEC and these greenies with NYSSA have been discussing the plans since the Law Suit so no work will be done as I said being blessed by Protect.
I gave her as lot of feed back about how dangerous this trail is and that no one seems to be concerned about the safety us us riding them. Maybe when a handy capped person gets hurt and sue’s for allowing snowmobiling on such a dangerous trail will it gets fixed. Only been going on 25 years that its been like it is now.
Screw it. I give up.
