My friends did this same ride after Darin and son where on the same trail. They also found stutter bumps in Bleeker and same from Stratford to the Powley Rd ( C8A ) This is our 5 miles from hell cause this is the only way to the Powley Rd and points north from Salisbury and it gets tore up by the evening with a lot of sleds going both ways. Wife and I took this route two weeks ago going south on a Saturday morning and caught it just perfect and hit it on the way back to Evergreen in late afternoon from the Salisbury club. Just starting to get the stutters. My friends hit it on Friday night and it had some real bumps. Talked to my friend who grooms it and he knows how bad it can get but he works and can only groom at night from Pleasant Lake Inn area. The two old guys we used to meet grooming on this trail have since retired so until someone steps up to help out–this is the best it gets for now. From Broadalbin thru Caroga, and Canada Lake to Evergreen=58 miles one way. Now they have to ride back tomorrow on a Sunday. They will probably knock their livers loose getting home. They are heading to Darin’s country today-Indian Lake.
A big thanks to Arietta who grooms the Powley Rd and thru Sheriffs Lake. They said both were great.
