Went to the Ox Bow by car this past Saturday about noon. Talked to a lot of riders. C8 from the Bow to Rt 10 was down to dirt on the steep hills (nothing there to groom) I’, sure the Pleasant Riders were out that night. The Bow was mobbed. Could’nt see the snow in her yard, so many sleds. 1 hr wait for a table.
Also talked to riders using Piseco Lake. Short trail to Oxbow was groomed but some rocks showing here and there. They said the lake seemed OK and they stayed in the main track coming down the lake. Also talked to friends who used Lake Pleasant, Sacandaga, and Oxbow who also said no problem and stay in the main track and you wont have any problems. Trail between Oxbow and Sacandaga was beat. Rocks
One guy climbed over the plowed snow bank at the Fire Co, in Spectacular which is there and signs closing the river trail and found himself in a water hole along the river. From Rt 30 you can see the river is very high for this time of year.
They also saw where a rider tried to go around a water over flow in Perkins caught a ski and was up to his waist in water.
The folks who told me about the dirt on C8 said the Powley Rd was a 10 but getting to it from Stratford (this is our 4 miles from Hell ) was beat. This part of C8A is always beat by mid afternoon cause you cant put 200 sleds on a goat trail in the woods. And these 200 have to get back to Salisbury. We knock our livers loose getting back to Piseco on almost every Saturday night. The said the trails around the Salisbury Club were good.
Arietta is grooming at the west end of Piseco C4A and C4 thru Sheriff Lake. It look pretty good from the road. A big thanks to Arietta groomers.

Almost forgot these trails. The Arietta boys are doing a great job this year. Have not heard any complaints. So far what we rode has been great.
Friend lives In Piseco just posted on face book 30 plus inches and still coming. There will be slush on the lakes. Smaller sleds plan on getting stuck.
Big thanks to them and the Arietta High Way Super. ( Craig S. )
