Snowmobiling northward from Tupper Lake again!

Inn on Piseco Lake

I wasn’t sure whether I’d ride Saturday. Was recovering from a combination of holiday festivities and a couple nights of insomnia this week.

But things came together for Darrin Jr and I to head up to my favorite road trip launch spot, Washington Street parking lot in Tupper Lake, NY.

We didn’t get there until noon. There were maybe a dozen truck-n-trailers on the lot.

I didn’t think that would be enough traffic beat the trails up from the jump.

Indeed, C7 and C7B through Charlies Inn to Lake Placid was sweet riding!

Doubled back to Charlies Inn, then headed northward on C7/Pole trail. There were at least several thin and pebbly spots. Plenty of soft bumps on the previously laid white ribbon, and a few large divots in vicinity of Lake Kushaqua.

Overall, there was good enough pole dancing to keep the fun times rolling.

Hung the right onto C8A/Wolf Pond Road. Got thin and pebbly in places, especially past Doll House. But it was a nearly smooth ride.

Caught a fresh groom on C8A at Franklin/Clinton County line and made it to the scenic view. Nice and flat, but we did experience some carbide clank.

Darrin Jr loves his new murdered out mono suit. Just call that bro “the man in black!”

Back to the truck

Nearing sunset, it was getting colder by the minute. Was time to make the dash back to Tupper Lake.

C7 returning to Charlies Inn was tattered from Saturday’s traffic. We encountered DOZENS of oncoming snowmobiles through that avenue.

C7 Charlies Inn to Tupper Lake held up for a nice run back to the truck.

Ended the ride around 5:30pm with 137 easy miles. Not many better ways to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Upon returning to Indian Lake, we saw several snowmobiles at Stewarts, with plenty of mud on them. I didn’t care to ask where they had ridden. Think I’ll wait a longer before I bang out rides from the compound. All in due time!

Bottom line

What can I say? Adirondack snowmobiling easy button does it again!
