Yes, FINALLY…points on the board as ilsnow land sat on the northern fringe of a historic snowstorm the night of December 16th into the morning of December 17th!
We ended up with 6 inches at Indian Lake and a foot-or-more at Route 8 corridor places like Piseco and Speculator.
Snowfall amounts north and west of Indian Lake were similar or less than what Indian Lake picked up, so I’d be less inclined to recommend Moose River Plains and more inclined to offer Perkins Clearing and Powley Road to get in your early season kicks this weekend.
If you venture onto the narrow woods trails, you should expect early season hazards like fallen trees, terrain bumps, rocks and mud holes. We’re starting from scratch here.
For the love of all things good, STAY OFF THE LAKES! Indian Lake finally froze over Wednesday morning and looks like this now:
Mid-December and it finally looks like winter here! Read though again and count how many times I typed FINALLY. 😉
For the ilsnow nation,
Darrin
