Midweek Outlook: Update 3/10/19

Wilder Performance

Lots of snowmobiles in town on Saturday and even a decent amount Friday as well. You couldn’t have asked for nicer weather to ride in.

Not so much traffic Sunday and with many people probably headed home to get the jump on the weather. Indian Lake got about 3 inches of snow on Sunday with a little freezing rain and sleet mixed in.

At the moment, snow pack is very robust throughout the central Adirondacks, about 2-3+ feet deep in most places:

Midweek Outlook

Assuming no mechanical breakdowns, groomers should be able to pound the trails back into shape nicely after the weekend beat down with the new snow.

Minor snows will add to the pile into Monday night. Cold-for-March temperatures are expected to maintain good riding conditions into Wednesday.

Then the wheels are expected to fall off Thursday and Friday as a warm wave washes over our area. It won’t be enough to end the season in ilsnow land, but the warmth will definitely spoil the trail conditions prior to the weekend.

So if you got a mid-week sick call to make, I’d suggest you drop the dime on it.

For the ilsnow nation,

Darrin
