Wild Forest Wins in a Rout!

Wilder Performance

I’m pleased to tell you the APA Meeting at Indian Lake was an overwhelming blowout in favor of Wild Forest classification. Indian Lake Town Supervisor Brian Wells, Hamilton County Board Chairman Bill Farber, other town and county officials, residents, outdoorsmen and snowmobilers gave powerful and convincing testimony as to why the entire Chain Lakes and Indian River tracts should be classified as Wild Forest, not Wilderness.

I thank all who went to the meeting in support of snowmobiling. Your presence in the crowd was felt when I gave my speech, especially when I asked all of the snowmobilers to stand up. That rocked! It was my honor and privilege to represent the ilsnow nation. 🙂

We’ve got 3 public meetings left:

If you live in central or western New York, please contact Sam DiCiaccio at s_diciaccio@yahoo.com . He wants to coordinate a mass gathering of snowmobilers to the Rochester meeting.

If you can’t make a meeting, be sure to send written comments by July 19th to:

James E. Connolly, Deputy Director, Planning
Adirondack Park Agency
Post Office Box 99
Ray Brook, NY 12977

Fax: (518) 891-3938
Email: apa_slmp@gw.dec.state.ny.us

Also, you can contact Governor Cuomo using the following link:

http://www.governor.ny.gov/contact/GovernorContactForm.php

Governor Cuomo promised NEW snowmobile trails through this State land. Now would be an excellent time to remind him of that promise.

With any written commentary, please include your full name and town of residence to ensure that your letter, email or fax can be accepted as legitimate commentary.

We had great showings in Newcomb and Indian Lake, but our work isn’t done by a long shot. Let’s get out there and make our voice heard loud and clear: Wild Forest for the whole thing!

Thank you,
