Kyle Prill (SmokinShift600cfi on the ilsnow.com bulletin board) will be holding a memorial for his father, Paul, who was one of the two riders who died in the horrific alcohol-related snowmobile crash on Indian Lake last Saturday night. Paul was not a drinker and was clean prior to the accident.
The memorial will start this Saturday March 9th around 9:00-9:30AM, where C8/Sabael trail dumps onto Indian Lake, near the north end of the lake.
This is our time to support Kyle AND to stand up and be counted. We need the snowmobiling community to show up in force and tell everyone who passes by that consumption of any amount of alcohol before and during rides is dangerous and unacceptable. We want all riders to return home safely to their loved ones and live for the next ride. Law enforcement and media is expected to turn out. This is our chance to demonstrate that the snowmobiling community, at large, is vehemently against drunken snowmobiling.
Join us Saturday morning. Let’s be part of the solution and change the alcoholic sub-culture of snowmobiling that destroys lives and gives the snowmobiling community a bad name. If you drink and ride, STOP If your friend drinks before a ride, do what you have to do to stop him from riding
Pass this message to ALL of your snowmobiling friends and tell them to do the same! See you there.
Thank you,
Darrin @ ilsnow.com
