Damion, Dale, Cal and I piled into the truck early this morning at zero degrees and set sail for the Tug Hill. We unloaded at the Timberview then rode over to Highmarket Inn. The woods trails were bumpy with lots of mud holes, but the cold weather is starting to freeze them over. The seasonal roads were AWESOME riding!
As we pressed toward the Flat Rock Inn, the seasonal roads did get some ripple and small bumps. But it was still fun riding. Once we crossed into Barnes Corners Sno Pals territory, the seasonal roads were AWESOME down to the Montague Inn. While eating lunch at the Montague Inn, I ran into Mr & Mrs Empire Sport Riders and friends. I always enjoy meeting up with ilsnow people on the trail!
After lunch, we hit a woods trail with TONS of deep mud holes. Thankfully, none of us got swamped. Then Damion lead us on a loop that took us back down to Flat Rock Inn. We found some nice fields surrounding the windmills and horsed around in some deep powder for a bit. Then it was back to the truck just before dark and headed for home.
We spun off 95 miles and had tons of fun. I’ve been waiting for a ride like this for over 9 months! Snow cover was in the 1-2 foot range where we rode, although some of the fields were blown down to grass in spots.
