Snow cover early today was mainly in the 1-2 inch range around Indian Lake and Speculator, increasing to at least several inches over Moose River Plains and the back side of Perkins Clearing.
Snowmobiling is permitted on State Land after the conclusion of big game season at sundown December 2nd. But by then, our meltdown will have begun with rain and temperatures rising into the 40s. At this point, I would suggest holding off that first ride of the season until we get more snow.
