With the winter winding down grooming will soon be coming to an end.
I'm going out again today but the snow cover is getting very thin on the trail
I'm certain our mid week guys will be out next week then we'll see what the weather brings

Just how bad are today's "spring conditions". Guessing Speculator to Perkins is shot, and the lakes slushy?

The golf tournament today ?

I rode all around Speculator yesterday. Conditions were not bad. Lakes had a few wet spots but really not slushy. Piseco was the worst but very passable and not thick slush. Some of the connector trails like Sacandaga to Lake a Pleasant are thin snirt and won't last much longer. Perkins was great and anything in the woods is fine.
Come and get it while you can.

rode all of it today. Speculator to perkins won't last if there are 3 sunny days and warm temps. brown snow facing south will burn off quickly.
Oxbow trail is showing brown in certain corners which will burn off in the sun.
Big Brook and fawn lake were really decent.
Perkins was ok except the new trail to mason lake. it started to get real thin in areas.
mossy vly was decent as was military rd.
Tree farm was covered but very choppy in areas
Lakes are frozen but rutted up very bad in areas

At 500SS's urging made the drive up and rode for the afternoon, was well worth it! Concur with him and Spike's post, trails were in good shape considering the warm spell, choppier of course as the day went on. Wrong forum, but Powley Road was great, a little choppy getting there from Oxbow, and once you get down to Stratford, the elevation/temperature change made a huge difference, lots of "gravel" riding to get to Salisbury's clubhouse for gas.

Looks like todays warm temps will do some damage, but the rest of the week looks colder so I'm hoping for another decent weekend of riding. :rev:
