Long Lake-McKeever-Speculator-Long Lake

We left Long Lake at 7am and headed to Raquette Lake via Long Lake, Forked Lake and Raquette Lake. From Raquette Lake we took the Uncas Rd into Eagle Bay got onto the Town of Webb trail system riding toward Thendara and then south mostly on trails 5 and 6. From Trail 6 we took the bridge bypass and got onto C7 (Railroad) just north of McKeever. We stopped at the gas station in Otter Lake. We backtracked to the intersection of C7 and C4H which were in fabulous condition thanks to the Trackside Trailblazers. C4H took us to North Lake, about a mile or two of road riding to South Lake where C4H continued now being maintained by the Ohio Ridgerunners. The trail was good but one could tell they are not using the same equipment as Trackside. Took S46A to Nobleboro and then hit C4 and headed north into Hamilton County. The Town of Morehouse is doing a terrific job with their trails. We stayed on C4 until we got to S88 and took that trail to the Powley Rd and headed toward Oxbow Lake. There is still no gas at Casey’s. We had lunch at the Oxbow Inn. From the Oxbow Inn we headed toward Speculator via Oxbow Lake, Sacandaga Lake and Lake Pleasant. We got gas at the Mountain Market. All the trails around Speculator were in great shape. We went to Perkins Clearing using C4 and S82C to the Two Miles of Hell trail which no longer deserves that name as it too was in great shape. We rode across Lewey Lake and then Indian Lake getting onto the Indian Lake trails on C8. The Indian Lake trails were in great shape too. In Indian Lake we took S84 and 538 to Newcomb and as the other trails were this trail was awesome. We crossed the road between Long Lake and Newcomb and were now on the C8B maintained by Long Lake. The first half of this trail was not in as good condition as any other trails we rode today-the second half was much better. We arrived in Long Lake about 5:30 after riding over 200 miles.
