Took two trips down to Speculator this past weekend from IL. The two miles from hell and the by-pass trail from Mason Lake lake into perkins Clearing was in pretty bad shape. Is there a problem getting a groomer into those trails?

Planning on another trip this weekend and was hoping to find out of they will be groomed.

I saw the groomer heading into Old Indian Lake Road late Tuesday afternoon. I presume it made the run all the way up the "6 Miles from Hell" to Lewey Lake.

The Town of LP's BR-110 was/is down w/ a blown tranny. LP used DRAG's BR-110 earlier to groom some trails in Perkins. I am not sure if they have repaired it but they usually move very quickly w/ their repairs.

DRAG's BR-60+ is still down w/ a blown track but parts should be here this week.

Stay tuned

Town of LP BR-110 is back in action. Parts for DRAG's BR-60+ arrived today and we hope to have it back on the trail on Friday.

Met 2 groomers in Perkins while we were trying to find the new trail that Randy fixed to get around the logging. We were heading for Indian Lake. We got screwed up and wound up heading back towards Spruce Lake. Once I crossed the Jessup and up the hill to the Mossy Fly Road inter section I knew I'd missed the turn off to the new trail way back. But we didn't mind as the roads in Perkins were superb.
We wound up having lunch at the Melody then back to the Oxbow Inn.
This is where Spike and Mike O. told us where the new trail cuts off to the right on the Road by the logging. I saw the sign for all snowmobiles to go left and this is where I screwed up.
Oh well. Lunch is always great at the Melody and we had a great ride.
Ps Looked to us that the Forest Rangers had 2 sleds in between them heading south in Perkins. Did'nt know what that could have been about.
