Question? When you leave from Speculator and head down past Piseco lake where do you get gas? I have the NYS trail app and it only shows gas in Salisbury

Casey's Corner. Take the Spy Lake trail. The side trail of to Casey's goes along the edge of the field. Can't miss it.

West of there is no man's land. Piseco Lake Lodge & Bear Path closed. Nothing along Rt. 8 until Poland.

Used to be a gas station in Stratford but I haven't been there and haven't heard anything about it.

Gas at Salisbury clubhouse. Other options Caroga Lake area, or all the way around (or across) Hinkley Reservoir to Northway (used to be Baileys) on 365.

Piseco Lake Lodge & Bear Path closed

I remember not being able to get a table for lunch at both places.

Salisbury clubhouse should be reachable on a tank of gas though RIGHT?

Yes. My 550F only gets 10-11 mpg and I have ridden from LP a few times eithr via Powley or lower Arietta and across.

Unless your sled is an absolute gas guzzling pig, you should have no problem making from Speculator to Salisbury starting on a full tank. I've started from Indian Lake on a full tank and reached Salisbury with plenty to spare.

Thanks Darrin. That will be my next ride. I can go 120 to 140 miles on a tank depending on my thumb.

Roughrider,

It's only roughly 100 mile round trip from Speculator to Salisbury Clubhouse. Should make it without any issues with fuel. I was just at the clubhouse Friday, I believe it was $3.85/Gallon.

Enjoy the ride, food at the clubhouse is second to none!

Steve
