Having been ill the 2 days prior I was not sure if I should have ventured out on such a cold day. While it surely was chilly it was well worth the ride up.
The trails were in decent shape for not having been groomed since the weekend traffic and the 5 inches of snow that fell the day before really helped.
I brought along my friend Andy and coordinated to meet fogexp at Oak Mt lot about 1030am. The lot had been plowed the night before!

Yep, sure looks like texting.

Late day Sun on a cold but fun ride!

I just noticed you had mirrors on your new sled wish I had put them on mine also, maybe that will be next thing I do. Had fogexp mixed up with another guy on here that bought a sled like mine. Did the extra weight (gas can) help you with your suspension problem you were talking about? Once they get more snow up there we have to go to Salisbury haven't been up there in a good 4 years now. Pretty soon I'll forget the trails up there.

500SS - yes midweek rides are the best if you can do them. We saw a group of 10 sleds on Old Rt 30 and there was a couple on a 2-up parked next to us that we finally saw towards the end of the day. That was it for other riders on the trail.

ACF7 rider - the mirrors are real nice and don't get in the way, you should add them! I actually have yet to put fuel in the spare tank yet. The suspension is not so stiff anymore and is doing its job well. Cannot wait to try the sled in some deep snow! Salisbury is always a good ride, like to go west from there...

Cato did you have to put the mirrors on sled or did it come with them? They do help then you wouldn't loose the guy behind you or know if someone is behind you. You better fill that spare tank up how those Ski Doo's go through gas ( Just Kidding). Probably suspension needed some break in at first.
Maybe we will get more snow for next week I hope. We have a good base home but we need at lease 5" of snow to make it good to ride on.

Yes I am ready to ride at home. We (our club) have done a lot of work recently getting the trails ready. We had to add a lot of signage.

It is about an 1 1/2 hrs drive. We have a good base, just need about 5 inches of powder....

Next time we head up past your place, we'll have to find a spot in the trailer for your sled!

fogexp: Maybe we will get some White Gold tonight into tomorrow. There calling for 8" to 14" hoping for 2ft. If we get lucky to get snow to ride up here in Schoharie you have to come up and ride with me and Cato maybe you can get Darrin to come up also. I would also like to see goinPostal come up for ride. Trails up here are great if we ever get the snow, you don't see as many sleds as you do up North.
I also hope Salisbury and Speculator gets more snow haven't been up there in a few years now.

Ron
